Maximizing your MPG and Tire Life

by | Aug 27, 2019 | Preventative Maintenance

Here are 4 tips that will extend the life of your tires and keep you safe on the road:

  1. Rotate and balance your tires every 7500 miles to keep them wearing evenly.
  2. Get your wheels aligned when you buy 4 new tires, if you hit a pothole or curb, or if your vehicle pulls to one side while driving on the highway.
  3. Keep your tires to the correct PSI. Over inflated tires can cause the center of the tires to wear and under-inflated tires can cause outer edge wear.
  4. Tires come with wear bars which tell you when it’s time to buy new tires. Or you can use the old method of measuring tread depth with a penny. Just be sure to check all areas of the tread.
