Now that we’ve warmed up from those early January frigid temperatures, celebrate by stopping by a local eatery during Howard County Restaurant Week. It runs January 13th through January 27th, 2014.

Try a restaurant you haven’t been to yet to find a new favorite place for Valentine’s Day. Check out the Restaurant Week page on www.visithowardcounty.com and you’ll find information on which restaurants are participating.

I had a delicious birthday meal at Victoria last year and even though my birthday was the previous week, they gave me a $10 off discount to use. The service was prompt and friendly. I’ll definitely go there again. Their website is: www.victoriagastropub.com.

The chef/owner, Dan Wecker, of The Elkridge Furnace Inn has been honored as a “Howard Hero” by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. You can find out more about which organizations he has supported at their website: www.elkridgefurnaceinn.com. When I worked in their office before coming to BA Auto Care Auto Care American, I saw first-hand his personal oversight of the business overall and the kitchen especially. His creative talents make any meal a special occasion.

Remember to check restaurant hours and whether reservations are needed.
And if you’ve had a good experience, compliment them online. Thanks for supporting your local economy!
